Omega fish oil stench in clothing

For awhile I got pretty diligent about giving my dd her Omega fish oil supplements; however, her clothing has begun reeking of fish oil, particularly her underwear and pants. The smell is just overpowering. I washed my younger dd clothing with some of older dd clothing, and now younger dd clothing reeks, too. I have not been able to find anything to remove the smell. Some of the fabrics (like sweat clothes) just hold the smell no matter how many washings they go through.

Have any of you experienced this? Is the problem just that my dd leaks urine and has poor hygiene? What do you do about the stink? Blech!

Not sure why the smell is in the clothes.

I've had that problem after spilling it on my tablecloth - I tried soaking it over night in color-safe bleach, baking soda, lemon juice, oxy clean. Nothing worked. I finally threw it out and got a new one and now I'm very careful with it. But I've never had his clothing smell just from him wearing them without spilling. That's really odd. I read someplace that hanging them out in the sun can help remove odors too - unfortunately we live in a subdivision where that is not allowed.

I'll have to try the Washing Soda. I've used baking soda without success, but hopefully the washing soda will help. I'm guessing that the problem is that dd leaks urine, so the fish smell comes through her undies and pants and transfers to her other laundry. For now I'm discontinuing the oil. I figure that since we're working with finding the right ADD meds for dd right now, I'll just focus on one med at a time. I haven't seen an obvious enough difference at this point anyway to force the oil even tho' I'm sure the benefits probably exist on some level.
