Ok, I realized I am over committed and really I should be happy, but I am kind of ticked.
Last year the PTA asked me to be treasurer. We were going through stuff in PTA so I helped out. Treasurer is not an easy job but I did it and tried to make sure I did what they asked when they asked. Even though I have class.
It has taken me the longest time to figure it all out but I did keep track etc. They were going through the nomination process this past week and the president asked me if I would consider doing it again next year, sure. By then i will be a pro.
Well teh nominations form was just sent out and it appears I have been fired. Instead they stuck me down as like 5th VP for parent education. Not a word why, not a thank you and stuck some brand new chick in as treasurer.
What-eva.
I guess I should be happy. One less commitment. I think I will ditch the whole PTA thing all together because my brain is fried anyway but it was kind of a crappy way to go. grrrr

Renee, you really ARE over commited. I do know how you feel; I'd be ticked in your place too. BUT, at the same time I can't say I'm horribly unhappy about it. The Pal and I miss you!

Perhaps this is one of those blessings in disguise?
You feel like you were dumped by the ugly loser guy.

(((HUGS))) how rude! oh well, one less stress in your life, too bad they couldn't even say, "thanks but we found an accountant that wants to take it on" or some such fiddle faddle--- BLECH! on them

Oh, man!
Goodness I loved Paula's analogy!
Yeah, I'd feel crappy about it too, if I were you...but if you can do it, I'd drop the PTA thing entirely. It's hard, I know, but sometimes you just gotta let go of the non-essential stuff in life.
Hugs to you...not only for this, but for all you do!
