((((HUGS))))

that stinks! I have 3 friends that have had trisomy babies, and currently a friend whose grandchild (born last week) also is a complete trisomy 13 baby. It's rough. 2 of those 3 friends went on to have other normal children. The other started seeking an adoption just in the last 2 months. They're on 'the list' w/ a very successful adoption attorney so we could hear good news soon-- their little girl was born/died 7 yrs ago and it took the Dh this long to decide it was ok and he was ready for adoption. Maybe God's baby for them is out there somewhere, or the time is just not right yet.

Oh, Heather, I really feel bad for your best friend. Having gone through infertility and many many failed IVF (in-vitro fertilization) cycles myself, I can imagine what your friend is going through. I was 40 when I gave birth to my DS Justin now 5.5, and almost 43 when DS Jayden was born. Both were IVF babies. The emotional roller-coaster ride was sometimes too hard to take during the IVF cycles: hoping, hoping, hoping, and your hope being slashed away with low egg count, low fertilization rate, only a few viable embryos, and/or negative blood test results. I feel tremendously blessed that I was able to beat the odds at my age, and have two beautiful boys. I hope your friend can also beat the odds, conceive, and give birth to a beautiful baby. Sending your friend positive energy...
