How did the assessment go?

Gosh I have had lots of different experiences with my own kids with OT and spent last year as an OT aide. Each situation is a case by case basis.

For Cait the biggest thing OT helped was her motor coordination and skills in preschool. She had co-treats with a PT and her motor skills were pretty delayed and they worked alot on that. Walking up and down stairs, pedalling a bike, crossing midline, and of course, writing. She is being re-evaled again.

With Mike it helped his sensory issues. The biggest thing for him was vestibular so far. He really is able to attend better in class after the therapy. He used to tip upside down in his chair, spin things, etc.

There is tons more. Typically sessions are 1x a week for 30 minutes or so. They will work on sensory issues and fine motor issues.

Gotta run.
