Paul Eckman resources?

Hey Ladies,
I am trying to find a way to teach my DS3 ASP ways to understand social rules/clues. Paul Eckman studied facial expressions for a number of years and has published his findings in various books. There is even a TV series using his theories called Lie to Me. Has anyone used any of his work to help with social training? If not this, what have you found to be effective? I am open to all ideas.

Thank you,
Caren

My daughter did a 10 week class based on Michelle Garcia Winner's material this past Spring, and it was a very positive experience. I like the vocabulary (ex. "expected behavior") and my daughter clearly felt the approach was accessible. Despite considerable early resistance (I'm not sure she spoke in class for the first 4 or 5 weeks), she made progress that we're still building on.

I don't know the Paul Eckman material though, so I can't offer a comparison.

I love the show lie to me but have never heard of him. Another person that has great books out on Social Skills is Michelle Garcia Winner. She also has a website...

http://www.socialthinking.com/

She's supposed to be one of the best when it comes to social thinking and skills.
