Hello,
This is my first go at the message board so bear with me. My 3 year old son was recently diagnosed with PDD-NOS (pervasive developemental disorder-not otherwise specified). Kind of a mouthful!! I am still trying to take it all in but overall I think acceptance is around the corner. But I do still have bad days. Yesterday was one of those bad days. Sharing is REALLY hard for him. If another child touches a toy he whines and gets really mad about it. Now he has been hitting the other kid or the adult who is intervening. I get so upset when he acts like this. I automatically start thinking he is always going to be like this because he just really seems to not get it yet. Have any of your children gone through issues like this? What helpful hints do you have for helping him and helping me to try to relax a little about it?
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Welcome!
First of all, you came to the right place.
Welcome!!
hello Auri and welcome,
It is a long adjustment to being a special needs mom, and everyone has bad days. Please don't feel guilty about that. No one of us is perfect.
So he won't share? Oftentimes if you can figure out

Thanks so much for the replies. I have been anxiously awaiting them all morning! One of you mentioned that we need to remember that aside from his having PDD he is also going through normal 3 year old stuff. That is so true and right now I think I attribute everything to his special needs because it is all so new. He was diagnosed about a month ago. I have known for much longer though. Mother instinct is VERY strong isn't it!
I am looking forward to bouncing ideas off of everyone.
