Well it could have been a disaster. Mike's teacher tells me he got called into the office over the whole milk incident yesterday. The assistant principal wanted to hear everyones story and was planning on giving Mike a pink slip for throwing the lettuce! Well, Mike's teacher got a hold of her and the A.P. decided that because of Mike's honesty she would just file the pink slip for this time.
BUT COMMON! The kid has made such huge progress. His teacher and his parents praised him up one side and down the other and he suddenly has to go talk to asst principal. His teacher was non to thrilled with that either.
But, again, my boy handled it fine. And we had quite the frustrating outting today too. he was supposed to see the surgeon for a post op check up and they were running really late. We waited in the waiting room for an our. Tiny room with lots of noise, a baby crying, etc. It was making him nuts and he was stressing so I changed the appointment and we left. I was proud of him for handling that as well. The appointment change, the waiting room, etc. It could have gotten really ugly. Then to go back to school and go the the A.P.'s office!
Well, more big kudo's for my boy tonight. I think I shall go make him a great snack once he is down with the olympic stimming session he is doing right now.

OMGosh! you mean they were actually going to write him up for that! omgosh! thank goodness for his wonderful teacher! geez the AP needs to have her head examined. This kid has made such great progress and he can't get away from the "letter of the law"!?! even to think about it!?!
We really dislike waiting rooms too! Weston really can't handle it if they're much more than 10 min late w/ appointments! That's one of my requirements when we find a dr!

Thank goodness the teacher got to the AP before a disaster ensued.
I totally get the waiting room thing. We try to make

I can't believe that they wanted to punish him for that incident. Unbelievable!
We had to leave the ped neuro's office today without being seen because of a full waiting room and waiting for more than one hour......Vaughn had enough when two 3-year olds starting screaming and hitting each other.

hehehe, I just got an email from his teacher that he got another "hand" for dealing with the AP office situation with grace! She said even the AP had seen Mike's progress and as such decided not to pink slip him.
Gotta LOVE Annie, giving my boy the big reward for her class because he was sent to the principals office and did it in style! (ie no meltdowns, growling, etc)
Still some growling issues in the mainstream class if he makes an error or if he is working too slow but we are working on it. I guess he hung out in the class after the other kids went to recess for a few and chilled and then did fine.
