What advise/suggestions do you guys have for potty training. I think my Jacob is ready. Whenever he has a wet diaper I see him wiggling or squirming a bit, like it is uncomfortable. He has also stuck his hand in his poopy diaper twice now. What tricks do you have? SHould he sit or stand? DD was easy b/c we obviously have the same equiptment. WIth Jacob, I will start potty training in June when I get done teaching. DH will be at work during the day so it's all up to me. Please help~!
Thanks in advance!

We had Nick sit to start. It was much easier than trying to teach him to aim!! It also helps when learning #2 as well. I took a little wad of TP and used it to point it down so when he went it wouldnt pop up and spray everything. We tried the standing thing and he ended up peeing on the walls. That came about 8 months later when he was done and wanted to go like Daddy does. Believe it or not, he wanted me to show him that one. It wasnt as wierd as I thought it would be. He freaked out about those toilet aimers (Piddlers I think), same with Cheerios too. I told him to try to make bubbles. If he peed hard enough, he could make bubbles (wierd, I know). He also tried to make patterns in the water (yeah, wierd too). We got one of those little seats that fit right over the regular seat (Walmart carries them), Nick could put it on himself. That and a little step stool so he can get up there and sit down. Oh, and LOTS of stickers. We put them right on the bathroom window when he was done. Hope that helps!
