Private school and a aid

As most of you know, my son is in private school. They only problem with private school is that they don't have a SP Ed program and they are not required to do "extra" things for kids who need them. DS is in 2nd grade and he is too the point that he needs a program. He has a IEP but now he refuses to cooperate and he gets very very frustrated. The school thinks he needs an aid to help keep him on track, structure his assignments toward his interest, and make him a daily visual chart. After I talked with the county school psychologist he said that the teacher is actually supposed to do these things, not the aid. That's where the problem arise. #1. The teacher acts like this is too much work and #2 she does not have to do it because it is private school.
Because he is in private school he does not get all the services that a public school child would. Only PT, OT and speech. They can not give him an aid. We have considered sending him to public school next year, but I am just not too thrilled with the idea and I am not sure how he would cope with public school. He is in a Christian school now where the kids are taught manners and his classmates love and except him as he is. When he goes to public school, it is going to change.
Ok now I will get to my point. The school system will not give DS an aid and his Teachers are not required to go the extra mile. I am considering being his aid next year. I will spend the mornings with him at school and I will leave at lunch to go to work. My MIL is concerned that me being there through may not work. I don't know any other options though because I am not paying someone else (that he does not know) $1'000 dollars or more a month to be his aid. Do you think this would work or would it just make it worse?

I don't know how it works elsewhere but here in PA you can get a TSS without the school being involved.
As far as I know we do not have anything like that here. There are aids, but they are payed for by the school system and they are usually from the special ed class. I have never heard of MA and as far as I know Tennessee does not offer that option. He has Asperger's and he is covered under the Tennessee disabled act but there is only so much that they offer here.
MA or Medical Assistance is sometimes known as Medicaid.
Update:
Well after meeting with his Teacher and principle, I will be his aid. I am going to go to school with him almost every morning and be his one on one so that he can stay focused and get more accomplished. We are hoping that this is the help that he needs. If this helps, Great! If not, then we will walk down another path. I can already tell you one thing. I am gong to be exhausted! I will spend all morning with him and school and all afternoon/evening at work. If this works though it is going to be totally worth it.
Wish me luck! I will give you all an update toward the end of the week on how things are going and if it is helping.
Hi,
Mollie
I am sorry to here that your school will not let a parent be the aid. My sons school is pretty much ran but the parents. It is not a government funded school
