I've only read it once and there were things I will need explained, but the gist of it seemed to say that DS,4, shows traits of mild autistic spectrum disorder. His weakness is mainly in language and social interactions. But he showed superior in motor skills and above average I.Q. and good visual/spatial skills. One of the main things that made me think he was NOT autistic was tnat he is so good with his body. Sometimes we just watch him wrestling with his older brother and look at each other like "where did he learn a move like that?" It just seems to come natural to him. Also, you should see him playing the toy electric guitar. Moves like Jimi Hendrix or something and he's never seen a rock video that I know of.
Anyway, is there a good site to look up the tests they use and what the scores mean, etc.? I will Google them, but I figured someone here would know the best sources for info.
The IEP meeting is Wed. I'm actually looking forward to it. I know a lot of people are sad and upset when they learn that their child will be in sped but honestly, if it will help DS to succeed and not just be labeled a "behavior problem" then I am all for it. I just hope I ask the right questions and say everything that I need to. I'm starting a list of stuff to ask and bring up, and I will take notes. I'm horrible at remembering stuff.
I guess I'm rambling. I'll stop now. Thanks for the info everyone.

Actually, I am pretty good at interpretting scores. My background is special ed and I always loved psychology. Since my kids have been diagnosed I have almost a mild obsession with tests and measures and what they mean as far as how my kids learn, how thier brains work and who they are.
There is also a great article. I think it is still online. It is called "Understanding Tests and Measures" and it was one LDonline. Also, tourette's syndrome Plus website had lots of great info on how to prepare for IEP meetings and the like.
Good luck.
