In your post regarding summer plans, you mentioned that your son Kyle will be going back to chelation. When did you start chelation (at what age was he)? What age is Kyle now? Do you do the injections (intravenous) or the lotion/creme? Just curious.....saw a 15-minute spot on John Adams (I think that was his name).....a chemist with a 14 yrs old daughter with autism.....interesting piece on the subject......I'm just curious because I know next to nothing on the topic.
Just curious.....

Christie,
Kyle was 8 when we started and he's now 11yrs. I know that sounds like a long time but honestly for most of that time we weren't chelating because he was sick all the time. He did make improvements with it when we were able to chelate. We used oral DMSA, then DMSA + ALA, then oral ALA only. We used the Andy Cutler protocol. (there are many different chelating agents and protocols) If you want to learn more about it you can go to http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/
