Oooh fiddle sticks!!!
Day started out ok, Liam even got himself out of bed for the first time in weeks.

Yeah, sounds like his meds aren't quite where they need to be. (Or what they need to be?) You mentioned that his Risperdal was just increased. I don't remember, is Risperdal one he recently started, or one that has worked okay for him?
The stuff he was doing at school, like the bracelet thing, and trying to kiss another kids' stomach....that's EXACTLY how David was when we first sent him to kindergarten, pre-dx. The teacher assumed he was just immature, since he was 4 years 9 months, and suggested we give him a year to mature and try kindergarten in a year. We did, but that kind of stuff didn't stop until he went on Trileptal, almost two years later. (Man, I wish that first kindergarten teacher had mentioned our right to have him evalutated by the school district. No one EVER clued us in on THAT possibility!)
We had a bad experience with Risperdal. He's on Trileptal, but after a while he needed something extra because he was LITERALLY climbing the walls at school. The doctor prescribed Risperdal, at a teeny-tiny dose, and he became dangerously manic. It was "call-the-doctor-at-11-pm" kind of scary. Abilify was better for him.
Are you in touch with the prescribing physician? There's got to be a good med combo that will help Liam get back to his own sweet self.
