It started out with his hunger.

Oh sweetie, I am so sorry to hear the whole ordeal. I can only imagine a child his size and you trying to wrangle him in. YIKES.....

I think you did right by telling him to let his feeling out. As for school, I am at a loss cause I'm only doing the preschool years and have NO experience past that. All I can offer is my support.

The cat is a great idea. If it gets the kids back into control and calm----GO FO IT

As for meds, I am on the fence over the Adderall thing I have Adam on. He is a PICKY eater from the get go, but he is now not having ANY desire to eat and I force feed him. He's SO skinny--granted so was I as a kid (too bad that aint the case now LOL). There is NO law that you medicate your child. IF anything---if he rages at school tell for health reasons you pulled him off and then perhaps they'll see his ASD FINALLY.....IDIOTS--it boils down to expence with not wanting to pay for a 1:1

You are fighting the good fight girlfriend....We are here for you---anytime.

CALL ME!!!!!

Love

Lainie,

I know Risperadol increases appetite bigtime, so he may well have been feeling hungry even if he couldn't have actually been hungry if YKWIM.

I don't know if you did the right thing. I can understand your frustration abnd wanting the school to see Chris as he really is without holding it back.

Thanks guys, I really was so stressed last night and just needed to let it all out.

Well of course this morning he still wasn't going to go to school, even though Tony and I took some baby steps to get him ready.

Wow...what is it with teachers calling the COPS on little kids?? Whatever happened to calling the PARENTS FIRST????? I would raise HOLY HE// if someone called the cops on my kid for behavior he couldn't help! Or for ANY behavior for that matter, if they haven't called me FIRST! Anyway....Lainie hon...I FEEL FOR YA!! You and I have talked quite a bit about Chris and his meltdowns. I'm sorry to hear he is struggling so badly right now. But I believe you were right in taking him off meds if they were not benefitting him. I have done that with Dakota because he was raging comming off the Adderall. We have him on Strattera now and he is doing much better. And eating better too!! (still picky tho!) Anyway, I'm sending you big hugs and smiles and hoping everything works out for the best for you and Chris. Call me sometime girl! I miss ya! AND the "this is Christopher...son of Lainie" (that is sooo cute!) Tell the boys I said "hi"!

I was about to respond back to your post last night when I realized it was 11 and I had to get off the computer.
