Signage?

Does anyone else have a kid who puts signage all over the house?
DD started this back when she discovered sticky tape (so the 1st year of pre-K at least).
She started with pictures: A boy with a the "verboten" circle/line thing they have on traffic signs

Paula,
Hannah, my not exactly on the spectrum girly, does that. She puts up signs, sticky notes-LOVES post it notes, and wrote all over every door and lots of walls with chalk. She really likes to make sign in sheets. She took over a hall closet as her club house and drew a sign in sheet on the door with chalk. The signed all the pets in with thier names and drew paw prints. I don't mind since the chalk wipes off easily.

Emma does this all the time...except she's not on the spectrum! I just figure it's a combination of her love of art and her great imagination. :-)

Well all 4 do but the biggest culprit are teh boys, dave in particular. He will go through phases and one day had it all over his room. But again he is my "is he or isnt he". His latest one was on his door saying somehting like "sorry family but I am busy, dont come in" with the typical 1st grader inventive spelling
But yes, even emily will make signs just not as much and usually has a purpose like they are all doing a play or something.

I never gave it much thought, but I guess they do!
At this moment, there is a hand-written sign on David/Nathan's bedroom door that says, "Danger!
Thanks all for the interesting responses:
I wonder if it's an introvert/extravert thing?

I think it is a creative thinker thing. I have come to the conclusion that lack of imagination in ASD kids is hogwash. They just don't do typical pretend play. Mike can't do that kind of stuff as far as pretend play with toys but man can them come up with some great stuff. I think that sometimes the labelling is just that.
For creativity, take the video of the kids. Mike makes a "fart horn" out of a air pump for a therapy ball, but I don't think he has ever "played" with his legos in a pretend manner. Just build and display, fidget with the parts, build, display, fidget with the parts.

I have to just wonder if this is somehow something to do with OCD? See Chris has OCD, Nick has OCD and even my grown dd who is NT has some OCD issues. I have a little bit of OCD my self (but it was never enough to disrupt my life.)
Just curious, do any of you have any OCD, even a tiny bit? It is heredity thing... And its a co-morbid of Asperger's and Tourettes (altho I'm sure you know this already lol)
Lainie
Lainie,
Good thought about the OCD.
However, it wouldnt' be true at my house. Neither of my kids have too much in the wasy of OCD tendancies. But of the
