Does anyone else have a kid who puts signage all over the house?

DD started this back when she discovered sticky tape (so the 1st year of pre-K at least).

She started with pictures: A boy with a the "verboten" circle/line thing they have on traffic signs

Dear all,

Oh, yes, signs and post-it notes are big in our house, and especially "about" the pets. My kindergartener posts signs with pictures, arrows and words to direct visitors to the hamsters and the fish, and posts the pets' names. He used to emphasize that they were "boys" in his signs, but I guess the importance of that has faded lately.

He also likes to label things in the house with his invented spelling.

I always thought of it as a kind of extention of his primarily using non-echo language for labeling when he was 3. Now he uses the top of his written language game for labeling.

My kindergartener hates the thought of brother-germs, and will spend an afternoon cleaning a floor, but I think that sibling rivalry and his propensity to stare at a shiny floor all day are highlighting the tiny dash of OCD he has-just for flavor. I wouldn't describe him as OCD.

Not to change the subject, but Sidney, what you said about your son cleaning the floor reminded me of something I had totally forgotten:

When David (AS, now 9) was 2, he had a toy "popping turtle"
