Hy Lisa.
If I remember correctly you live close to me on LI.
It sould like there were lots of changes going on in a few short weeks. Where is Alternatives for Cildren located? My suggestion talk to them. If they have an autistic consultant maybe she can help you figure out a game plan.
I know with all my kids esp Josh my aspie, he likes routine. Get rrady for bed does some sort of teeth brushing. Pees. Then He turns on his radio and then he reads the newspaper. The he makes sure the hall light is on turns on his new Air freshner lamp(the one that changes colors) then he goes to the bathroom again to go poop, pee and possible drink of water.. The he goes to bed.

But for the record. each of my 3 boys would some how end up in our bed in the midle of the night. Each of them stopped around kindergarten(MY youngest just stopped) Josh is my only aspie the other 2 are NT. So don't think it is a n aspie thing.
Suggestion get a sleeping bag for her. And make an agreement for with her that if she wants to sleep in your room because of the red bug then she needs to sleep in the sleeping bag on the floor.

Or maybe with a water spritz bottle, go on a red bug hunt and ask her where the bug is and spritz the bugs with your special formula bug spray.

Good luck
Rina

Hi Lisa.

Are you on The Island? I live near Huntington.

The first question is what has changed?

Many things have helped us, small dose of melatonin and a relaxing routine when going down, warm bath with epsom salts and baby oil, playing relaxing music, back massage when in bed. White noise machine during the night helped when he first moved into his own bedroom. Paula's blackout drapes is a great idea.

Ds has a "hug pillow" (regular pillow in flannel pillow case), and a body pillow on either side of him to keep him "snuggled". He also sleeps in a loft bed, which feels very nest-like with the side barriers.

Good luck, hope something here helps!
