After a phone call from the psychologist and several emails sent to the teacher, I got and email back from the teacher.
First, our old District Program specialist is attending the meeting rather than the middle school program specialist knucklehead. I love this woman. She doesn't do middle school but I don't like the middle school guy (does it show?) and well, word got around and Leslie is coming to my meeting for me. This woman is awesome and has no problem putting school staff in thier place. Besides the fact that she is one of the best psychologists the district ever had.
Second, she explained lots of her testing results, her concerns with them too and what she thinks we should do. Some of it was pretty good ideas. What that didn't make it into her report I have no idea.
I did find out why Cait's fluency was so low. I guess that was the timed part of the test (tests how fast they are). Well it wasn't that the timer bothered Cait. Quite the opposite in fact. Seems she was just being flakey Cait and didn't care about the timer just took her own sweet time and nothing was going to make her rush. Why should she. She probably kept getting distracted in her head by huskies or remembering the last dog show she watched on animal planet. That's my Cait.
