(((HUGS))) I'm sorry it didn't go as planned. How disappointing, but maybe you could get a picture of her all 'gussied up' at home where there isn't the stress of someone different taking it, waiting in line, etc.
You know, Maybe I never got the memo, but it seems to me when my kids were younger, photo day just kind of happened. I have some great pictures of my kids smiling and relaxed in preschool and early elementary, in old clothes and needing haircuts (and/or a comb).
The later pictures are more posed. Like I said, I don't know if it was school policy, or because I was working 60 hour weeks and travelling all over the world that photo day was such a non-event back then. Probably the latter.
But when photo day was forgotten, it was so much easier. There is so much pressure and drama around it now that I wonder if it is worth the money and effort -particularly with Siobhan, who needs to be kited out in the right fashion, with her hair "just so". The last picture I have of her is particularly hideous, because she chose to wear a humongous ivory Alice band which clashed with the background and became the focal point of the entire picture.
I am so sorry that Hannah had a difficult day. I suspect the pressure just got to her. Being a kid is so darn fraught these days. I hopw she has a better day today.
