Chase won 2nd place in the young authors contest for his grade level(2nd). He is mainstreamed so it's a pretty big deal. He wrote the entire story at school so I didn't even help him with it. After Tuesday morning Mass all the kids that were either winners or runners-up will be recognized. Chase is very excited! Just wanted to brag and celebrate/share something good with you guys. Vicky

Dear Vicky,

That is great news! How wonderful that he wrote a story, and then the icing on the cake, the story won a prize!!! Any chance we can read that story? if he wouldn't mind?

yours,

The truth is I haven't even read the story yet. They write them at school but for some reason they don't send them home until end of the semester. I'll have to get my hands on a copy and share it with you guys. I do know it's titled "Underflood" and it's about a subway system that is flooded. Chase read all of your comments and was grinning ear to ear. Thanks, Vicky
