I'm so sorry Heather. I can imagine how awful you and your son feel. People just don't understand our kids needs. It definitely sucks. I hope something changes and he is able to be on the team at some point in the future.

Okay, time to break out the old ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) to defend your cause.

You read my mind Heather lol.

Here is a case law I pulled up from wrightslaw.com regarding a YMCA program that got in hot water because they did not accomodate a child with a disability in their program.

They can't do this and I would call a higher up. Your son shouldn't be denied something that he has every right to have.

Let us know what happens!

And HOLY COW! I just read the whole thing and the family was awarded $ 650,000.00!!!!

Ya, I bet you contact a higher up they will do something for your child lol. Thats alot of money versus neglecting your son's needs.
