Started chelation today...
| Tue, 04-11-2006 - 3:44pm |
Dear All,
We started TD-DMPS w/ one of our twins today, I will keep you posted as to how things go. It can be a very gradual process, up to even a year. So far we are just doing 1/2 doses and working our way up to normal dosing for his size.
We were at the DAN conference this weekend in DC, it was so refreshing to be with thousands of other parents of ASD kids! The seminars were great, got to hear many Dr's discuss their pracitices, share info and updates on the lastest results of chelation therapies on their patients.
Anyway, just wanted to share this incase any of you out there were in the same boat, or interested.
Meg

I hope all goes well.....good luck!

Ditto, hope all goes well. Best wishes.

Dear Meg,
Good luck from me too! I went to a mini-DAN conference here in Miami recently and many of the speakers were also slated for the DC big conference. I learned a lot, and like you, it was really wonderful to be with so many other parents of ASD kids. Very supportive environment. Tim Buie's talk on GI issues resonated so much in our case. I also found the woman from Tulane (can't remember her name now) who talked on immunology to be fascinating.
Keep us posted on how things go.

I'm interested.
I pulled out Peter's vaccination sheet the other week for SN summer camp enrollment. Now, some boards "old-timers" might remember me tell of a big regression The Boy underwent in late 2003/ early 2004.
I scanned that vaccination sheet before I left the house. Well, a line on the bottom of it, hit me like a brick: Flu shot 11/14/03
I bought "Evidence of Harm" a few days later.
I wish you the best of luck with this and please do let us know how it goes.
-Paula
