I struggle with this too, because in DS's case rewards (bribery :-) clearly work far more effectively than any other technique, and I am not sure how to get him on to the next stage (where he does the work for the joy of doing it well, or because he's been told to!) - behaviour modification techniques where you use rewards are supposed to work this way, but don't seem to with Aspies! I have to pay DS pocket money
Well I know it is not writing on some of it because his assignments are abbreviated. He told me that he just plain does not want to do it. He would rather be doing something more interesting and fun. He will do it for a reward so he completely understands everything. (He has straight A's)
