It's so hard, especially in the beginning, to have hopes for the future when you're dealing with ASD.

Thanks both for some very good points and very good tips.
If he has a service plan through early intervention you might be able to get it included under social skills.
Actually, we just started a social skills class at IU (Boys just turned 3).
At our last Dr's appt we were talking about what the future would be like, she said because we have worked so hard with Nathan the last few years & continue to do so then it will be better that if we had just sat back.
