Ok its small, but I figured you guys would understand my bright moment this week......and its been a tough week so....

Yesterday, as I am walking DD (2 yrs 8 mos -PDD-NOS) to her drop off at school, one of the other moms of a child in her class (not sure if her daughter is NT or not) was joining us onthe path and she said goodmorning, Hi Hannah........
Hannah TURNED HER HEAD toward this woman and warbled something that sounded sort of like Good Morning!!!!!

I was so pleased with her. first she responded to her name by looking, and secondly she tried to respond verbally and I am pretty durn sure appropriately!!!!!

sigh...i am so proud of my big gurl!

not a huge thing but i take all the steps, even the teeny tiny ones!

Oh! You go ahead and brag!!! That's wonderful!!! I get so excited when Nathan interacts with other people, especially since he never used to initiate any conversation!! I never thought much about this sort of thing with my oldest, because he's been talking FOREVER!!! But with Nathan it IS different. Every step, every effort they make....it's so amazing to be there witnessing these moments!!!

Give your dd a big hug for me!!!

Girl, that is not teeny tiny, that is HUGE!!! Brag to the ends of the earth. YOur only not even 3yo PDD child responded appropriately to a social greeting.

Trust me, it is the little things that I love. For our kids they aren't little things. They are major milestones that are huge accomplishments for them. Cherish every positive that your girl gives you and enjoy the heck out of it. I do. I have really learned to stop and smell the roses and enjoy that which is really important.

Ok, see now I gotta go post my brag that has been keeping me going for 2 days and all it entailed was cheering on other kids during a relay race, lol.

Go Hannah!!! WOOO-HOOO!!!

Every second of progress is sweet and mega-fabulous, and believe you me, it all adds up.
Agreeing here that that is NOT a teeny tiny brag, but a great big happy one...

Congrats, Mommy.

I am so happy for you and joining the chorus of cheerleaders here! I agree that this is NOT small at all, but a really BIG deal! It makes me happiest too when Eric responds correctly to others and you got a big double with the head turn and the verbal greeting! Hurray!

Congratulations to both of you!

Love,
Katherine
