Paula,
I never took it but my sister did because she has difficult pregnancies and delivered her first baby 3 months early. She actually took it on her second pregnancy and her daughter is "NT" but in my opinion has a lot of sensory issues but probably not related. Sorry thats all the the help I am.

Paula,

I was given a drug to stop labor for my first son, now nearly 5, who has asperger's.
Due to gestational diabetes my labor was induced at 40 weeks(another possible trigger?). During labor, my son's heartbeat slowed, and I was given an injection of something to stop the labor. The obstetrition physically pushed him back into the uterus wand had me stay in a particular position and breathe extra O2 as I was wheeled into an OR for a c-section. My son's heart rate recovered before I got to OR. He was delivered surgically.

I was not given any labor-inducing or stopping drugs for my second son. He was delivered by scheduled c-section since I did not go into labor by 40 weeks and had had gestational diabetes. My second son is just 25 months old now, and time will tell if and where he is on the spectrum. Clearly, he has sensory issues. We are watching his pragmatic language and attention-to-task. (He has been approved for OT and a SEIT, and we are still discussing speech with EI, since his speech is not technically delayed in the ST opinion.)
