Thank you for your responses. We are definitely will be getting a second opinion. We are just waiting on the call for an appointment right now. The only bad thing about going to this appt is we have to pay for it all but I have a flex plan at my job that will help. The other doc was the only one in our insurance network. Nutty.
Dakota is in a special ed. class that has about 12 kids in it to the question that was asked. There is the main teacher and, I believe, she as two aides to help her. This class also combines students from 1st and 2nd grade. The class size doesn't get any smaller than this class. The regular classrooms usually has more students, a teacher and maybe one aide. So I'm glad he is in the special ed class with its smaller teacher/student ratio. He still gets speech therapy.
A little intro of us: Sierra, my dd, is a pretty special little girl. She definitely has a personality and character. She is quite opposite of her bro. She loves her big bro with an occasional fight. She goes to preschool and, she loves it.
I work in an IT department at a local hospital full-time and go to nursing school, which I only have one semester left. I start school on the 17th. It's going to be a tough semester. I know I can be a nurse but I sure do struggle. Trying to juggle a job, school and family can get very tiring especially when I struggle with ADD and OCD myself. I do take one day at a time and do see light at the end of the tunnel so that is good. In just a few months I will be a RN.
My husband works at the same hospital but in Enviromental Services as an aide. He works in the evening so when I'm in school and working, I don't get to see him much. This can make it hard and harder on the kids. No matter what though I'm glad he is working. For several months this year he was without a job. Not good.
Dakota I have spoken about. He is a sweet boy.
