school that Kyle is seeing a private therapist? I was just typing the aplogy letter to the princiapl regarding Kyle lying. I was considering letting them know Kyle was in counseling. But I'm hesitating for some reason. Would there be any reason to not tell them? Ok, I sound crazy.

I tell the school that the kids see a private therapist for social skills. In fact I even had her type a report to give the school. She is awesome with ASD's and well respected so it is good to have her input on the team.

I guess it would depend on a few things. First, will it do any good to tell them he has a private therapist? Does he have counseling services at school they may say he doesn't need if he is getting it outside school?

I am pretty much open about the whole team approach, but again there is information I withhold if I think it is detremental. For instance, a report once from the neurologist I withheld because I felt it was innacurate. But if that were the case with a therapist I probably wouldn't be seeing them anymore.
