Great article Nora! I have watched Nick sleep and have seen him go through the first 2 stages of sleep, what is odd about Nick sleeping is his eyes don't close all the way when he until he hits that deep stage of sleep. They close about 3/4 of the way. I can actually see his eyes moving back and forth as he goes into that N2 stage of sleep. It used to freak me out watching it, but it is kind of neat, they just roll back and forth. He has always been a restless sleeper, more so since school has started, he gets up at least once during most nights, sometimes 2-3 times and asks one of us to sleep with him. He also has bad dreams which he will cry in his sleep, he also talks in his sleep or wakes up calling my name. The clonidine does help him fall asleep easier though, I just wish it helped him stay asleep :(.
