Dave has turned into the next Tom Sawyer. The kid is totally cracking me up. Yes this is the one who was diagnosed PDD-NOS.

First on Tuesday, Dave got a lot of valentines goodies at school. He came home with 2 bags full so he sorted them by candy and toys. Then he made this "list" and sat there and waited for the kids to come home so he could sell his candy! Then he kept data on what the favorite candy was so he could make sure to sell the right stuff next time.

Today, his grandparents finally took him out for his birthday trip. He convinced them to buy a safe of all things. Mike was obsessing on the safe and using it and figuring out the code. So once it was open Dave says "Mike if you get me something like Money to put in it I will let you close the safe" and Mike goes running off to find Dave some Money.

Next he will be paying Dave to do Dave's chores.

ROFL! This kid is going to be rich someday.

This really made me smile! Sounds like you have a future "Donald Trump" on your hands!

Good for Dave!

Renee,

I wish some of that would rub off onto Tyler!!! He has NO GOAL WHATSOEVER!! Well, he does have that one goal....TO TALK AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!!!

I have one that talks too much and one that needs to learn to talk MORE!! So, I spend my day ignoring one...and talking constantly to the other!

Anyway, WTG Dave!! This experience will come in handy when he gets older! Being able to "work" people...good skill to have. My dh would agree...he's in the car business!! LOL

Renee,

he sounds exactly like my oldest! Warren (he has an ADD-NOS dx) can get people to do his homework and when he works on projects w/ other people he tells them what to do and talks the whole time, and then convinces the teacher he's the one that did the most work. AND all the teachers just love him! At home, he works all the games out so he always wins and yet makes the other kids want him to win. He manages to get the last of the most popular snacks and then "sells" it for something he wants. Not exactly a born leader, but he's got charisma that gets other people! One evaluator said, "if he can just get through middle school and high school he'll probably be a huge success w/ someone else doing all the work." very true!
