I see no problem in bringing it up as a concern and asking them if they can address it in his social skills.
For triennials I find it helpful to make a chart with all my concerns, evidence of concerns, possible ideas I have of what I might like to see done about it and then a blank collumn for what we discuss/agree on.
Good luck! I am glad mine are recently done and I have at least 2 more years before I have to deal with that again. I can't believe Cait will only have one more triennial in her life! What a reality shock that was.
