Lauren asks me questions that she knows the answer to all day long instead of telling me things.

Could be animals are or are becoming her special interest. Yeah its annoying but its part of the deal. My daughter's interest is bands. So I get the repeat questions and comments a lot too and she is 15. But I am just happy she is talking to me so I go along with it and encourage her interest. I think the repeat questions and comments on one or two subjects are just one of the things we have to live with.

I agree with the previous poster, just seems to be one of those things.

Oh, Calvin and Hobbes! AAAAAAAAAARGH. I am working hard on explaining why this doesn't translate well from comic strip to ad verbatim routine. But apparently the right answer to 'can I tell you a Calvin and Hobbes joke' is not 'no'....*sigh*. I feel your pain!
