good news is the NP doesn't think thyroid meds are warrented just yet. Dd was deficent in many key nutrients needed for proper thyroid function, proper engery cycle, proper conversion of amino acids to neurotransmitters, and in omega-3 EFA's needed by all the cells membranes. So we are going to try to fix the defiencies and get her thryoid and everything else working properly again. Then if that doesn't work we'll go the meds route. So we started cod liver oil, and glutithione cream. Over the next month we'll slowly add the rest of the needed supplements. Then we'll start chelation with her. She had aluminum and lead in her red blood cells. I'm sure there is mercury hiding in her too :( You know what gets me about all this. Dd is a good eater. Always has been. She loves fruits and veggies. You give her a choice between a cookie and green pepper and she picks the green pepper. Its not fair. And she didn't get all her vaxcinnes. I'm worried that our water has lead in it. I need to get it checked and make sure we always have bottled water for her to drink. The NP says its not that she isn't digesting her food but that her body either isn't using it or its getting used up too fast because of the metals. Lord I hate to think what ds's blood work would look like. I hope we have the money soon to find out. It really is good to know.

Wow it is nice to have some specifics and say, yes this is what we need to do. Even if not a DAN doc I am considering a naturopath. My friend was ill forever. Constantly migraines, vomitting spells, aches, pains everywhere. No one could figure it out. Finally she went to a naturopath who found she was allergic to eggs, soy and peppers. She cut those out. Started taking supps and is like a new woman.
Hope you have good results.
