I just had one done thru ABA with my oldest and my youngest will be finished soon.
Lots of questions, but my take on it is how they respond to situations in life etc and then there's goals to help them in their weak area's. It's a good thing imo.
Not familiar with Verbal Behavior Analysis (though I know this is a Skinner term), but Tom has been working with a behavior consultant for a couple of years now.
ABA (at least the ABA co's around here) do evaluations which include assessing Verbal Behavior. In fact one of the tests they normally do is called the ABBLS (not sure if it is correct spelling).
This pulls out info on my child so they can write goals for them to work on.
Heather I thought Verbal Behavior was a LOVVAS thing? But then I get confused between LOVVAS and Skinner sometimes lol.

Yes, we had the ABBLS thing too.
The class actually has a verbal behavior program, not just an analysis.
I work with a bunch of BCBA's, I will try to ask tomorrow.
