Waiting is the worst

Of all the special ed mom things I have gone through I think waiting is the WORST. Waiting for test results. Waiting for appointments. Waiting for diagnosis. I hate waiting.

Cait had her MRI done last night. I had to call today to give them the fax number for the neuro's office. The MRI lady (who was THE NICEST and FUNNIEST person I have ever talked to on the phone in this kind of thing) did tell me it was done and faxed to my primary doc.

So I call them and ask for results AND I get the "give us your number and we will have the nurse call you back"

So the test is done, the results are in and I am stuck here WAITING and WAITING. Grrr. I don't do waiting very well.

BTW, gotta tell ya about this lady. She does the "I have to wait for the computer can I put you on hold" and starts singing into the phone one of the usual songs with an over dramatic voice. This was how the whole call went. At least she made my day.

((((((Hugs)))),

Waiting sucks. It is the ABSOLUTE WORST!

The last time I was stuck inside waiting for test results, I expending all my nervous energy cleaning. Siobhan walked in from school and said "The house is clean. Who is coming over?" (ROFL)

I hope you are not waiting too much longer.

I completely agree with you. I hate the waiting game that so many of us are forced to play. Time goes sooo slowly when you're waiting for results. I hope that you get the results soon and that everything turns out well.

No results today so I guess I have to wait again tomorrow. I had class tonight so that helped distract me. Tomorrow I am teaching so that will get me through until lunch and I will try them again.

Thanks for the support all.

Suddenly, waiting doesn't seem like the worst.

Waiting when you have half an answer and it isn't good is the worst. So far I have talked to the primary care doc and she is faxing the info to the neuro cause she needs the neuro's input.

They found something on the MRI but they were complaining about her braces messing up the picture and that she didn't have the "contrast" and the radiologist wants more tests done. What they did find they are calling a "non-specific hyperintense lesion in the white matter". The only info I can find online about that is about MS.

So now I am waiting for the neuro to call. The one who I can never get in touch with.

grrrrr
