Do you think Stanley would enjoy IEP meetings, school volunteering, etc. lOL. Maybe he can volunteer with me today. I know one class that would enjoy it.

The kids loved it and spent a long time coloring together. That was a trip. Try to divide it up. Ok, you pick one thing to color.... I have to say I have NEVER seen Dave color so neatly. He worked so hard on that little tie to stay in the lines. He NEVER does that. Then again my kids like to draw and they are not big on coloring says the dozen coloring books we have. However, I can't keep a blank piece of paper in the place!

They are dying to take pics with him. I think I will bring him to school today and explain to the teachers what we are doing. THey may enjoy using it as a teachable moment as well.

Ours came in too! You should have seen the look on my 6yo's face when I told her she had mail. "Me? I have mail? Me?" she was ellated.

We opened him up, read the letter, and I told her a little bit about the sender. Then we got out our Flat Stanley book and read it together. Man oh man was she happy! And it made me cry. She's the kid that always gets picked last for everything. It tickled her pink that she got picked to host a Flat Stanley.

Right now she and Flat Stanley are in playing her favorite computer game while she waits her turn for the DVD player to watch the documentary she has to watch for a school project. After they watch the video they will be building a mud fort using the techniques represented in the video. Hmmmm..... maybe I should laminate Stanley? No, I copied him first off as soon as he came out of the envelope, just in case.

Later today Stanley will help us pack up a care box we're sending to our adopted Marine in Iraq. We'll also be taking him on our homeschooling group's tour of Luke Air Force Base this weekend. Hoping to get up to the Grand Canyon too.

Maybe I should laminate. Thought of making a copy but printer was out of ink. Oh well.

Stanley went with us to school today and to the library. Not sure what he has planned for tomorrow. I would have him go with Cait to school but that would be too depressing for the poor guy.

Stanley arrived in Miami yesterday. Eric had a fun time coloring him. Today he is bringing Stanley to the park and to open gym at the gymnastics place. He may go to speech therapy, but we'll have to see if the speech therapist would appreciate visitors first.

This weekend Stanley will probably enjoy Cuban food, Eric's favorite, which he wants to share with Stanley. Don't be surprised if Stanley arrives home with black bean soup on his shirt!

I'll have to check and see if Stanley packed a bathing suit for the weekend here. If not, we can get him one!

Last night Stanley learned to chrochet a hat. Long story, but basically Stanley will be coming home with a Christmas hat and scarf should he choose to go caroling this December. We sized them to fit the average baby doll so Claire can use them for a doll instead if she wants.

Trying hard to keep my kid from betstowig Stanley with every conceivable gift... he might end up coming home in a larger envelope. LOL
