Already posted this on the bp boeard, but thought I'd trow it out here too.

Right then, In pdoc appt last Friday I announced I wanted Liam off risperdal. Pdoc tried to fight me, but I put the proverbial foot down, lol. Liam has put on 13 lbs in 8 months, and he was a little heavy in Feb to begin with. Even reg ped today suggested Liam looked "chunky." (Quietly out of Liam's earshot.} Once I told him about taking him off the risperdal, he seemed happy. 0But defiintely open to other options if Liam needs it. Pdc wants to wean Liam over 6 weeks, what y'all think?- I think we can do it in 3.

Hi Hon,

I wish I could help you, but I just don't know.

We weaned Emma off very slowly, which sucked because I had to quarter some pills for a week or so.

Ta gals,

Liam was on 0.5 mg am and 0.5 mg pm; right now on 0.5 mg am and 0.25 mg pm for two weeks, reducing by 0.25 mg every two weeks. I think I'm gonna do the reduction every week though. I usually don't mess with pdoc suggestions. but I don't trust this one anyway, kwim? (through the school system)
