What do U think of this assignment?

Ds brought this home from school today. Its from his 6th grade health class.
The top half he was supposed to write 5 things he thinks one of his parents are stressed about. Then give the bottom half to the parent to fill in 5 things they are stessed about. Then compare the answers and make suggestions to the parents on how to manage their stress.
Dh & I both said NO WAY. We feel it is inappropriate. What do you think? Would you let your child do this assignment? I was just wondering what other parents think.

I think some assignments are just ridiculous!
I've also heard of a teacher asking young students (1st grade or K, I think) what kind of things they worry about. If they didn't know what "worry" meant, she explained it.
I'd really prefer that my 6-year-old *not* know what worry means. But thanks, anyway.
So, I guess--I think that assignment is ridiculous.
That seems a little much. Does he not have enough stress of his own to deal with but now he should have his parents on top of it? Too much for little shoulders to carry!

How about this
"My parents are stressed about the weird, useless assignment I got in health class!"
Is he supposed to hand this in?

UGH!
Intrusive, prying, personal, crosses the line...
TOTALLY

I'm sure the intent was to show the children how stressful it can be to be a parent, or perhaps it's a lesson about preception vs. reality...but NO FRIGGIN' WAY would I participate in such an assignment, regardless of how well meaning it may have been.

Thanks for all your opinions. I wonder if any of the other parents refused to do the assignment.
We did email the the teacher and simply stated We thought the assignment was inapropriate for Kyle and he wouldn't be doing it. We said to call if she had any questions. She emailed back and said she understood and Kyle was exempt from doing it. She also said she really enjoys Kyle and he's doing good. :) I'm glad she didn't make an issue of it.

Good for you Samantha......I'm glad the teacher was understanding.
Christie - who would have refused that assignment as well
