Figures.
Well, I will have to think on it for sure. First things that come to mind are definitely something on diet, supps, etc. I would also maybe like a folder for just fun stuff and maybe make the OT fun stuff more active. Sometimes you gotta think about kabana boys in the tropics and not autism, lol.
Have you seen the Developmental Delays board recently? I love the way they have set up thier folders. Wonder if they would mind us borrowing thier idea. THey have it set up like a house, the welcome mat, the kitchen table (for general disability discussions I think), the couch for when things are rough and you need help and the backyard for fun stuff and parties. There maybe another folder too but I am not sure.
I noticed it a while ago and thought it was clever.

Thanks for trying.
The poll system is imperfect. You can only vote for one thing and only vote once.
People can certainly post and weigh in on the thread. I was also thinking of running another poll for What DON'T you want to see...?, and between them we will get an idea of the most popular and least popular choices.

The backyard is for fun stuff. She had explained it a while ago I think when I saw it and the backyard was basically fun off topic stuff like having a backyard barbeque or playing outside. Off topic that sort of thing.

Lots of good ideas!
I personally love the "our home" idea with the couch, backyard, kitchen etc. But I also see a need for something like a FAQ that has basic info. for new people, links etc. This may be a function of ivillage, but it seems like when I first started reading there was a section that had basic info on PDD-NOS, AS, links to diagnostic sites. Something like that would be nice. Also the idea of Pam's with books as a section.
Maybe break out the therapy sections like the diet, supplements part could be in one area but the OT, ST, ABA, RDI, Floortime could be another area? School IEP stuff another area. I know the autism board is a bit this way but it makes sense to me.
Then we do need a place for coffee talk about DH, MILs, shoes, hats, other accessories etc.!
I don't think I'm helping much, just tossing out ideas. Plus I am not too techno and don't know how this works computer-wise. I'll think more. Paula, you are a saint to do this (I find cyberspace almost as confusing the nuns! wink!)

Thanks for all your input.
So here is where my head is at right now. I am thinking of a 'place' It's not exactly a house, or a school or a clinic. It's a little bit of everything. Like we all descended on a

Paula, it sounds great! :) Only thing is yes, I'll talk all about nutrition and supplements but I really don't LIKE to cook. ;0) I want to be outside with you where all the fun happens. Although you might find me in the kitchen alot to get my coffee, gotta have my coffee, organic of course.
I was thinking if you want a separate place for school stuff maybe that could be in the den. That's where I keep all my kids IEP stuff.
Oh, you know what? I'm pretty sure that cat you grew up with did die. He's been re-incarnated as another cat. You know he had so much fun the first time around he just had to do it again. He now lives here and his name is Roger. If your really missing him I'll be happy to send him your way.

Sounds like that Aspie Commune us girls from the 'org' have been talking about making for years now. :D
Hmmmmm, I can often be found in the library true, but I spend most of my time burried in art supplies trying despirately to keep my 3 youngest from eating the paste. **wiggles eyebrows**
