What a morning!

Somehow I slept through my alarm, which is becoming a regular occurance. Little man was watching TV, and my princess was in tears! Why? She missed our ferrets that we had for 6ish months and put back up for adoption almost a year ago now. She was hysterical crying about them.

Little man was just very sure he was not going to school today. He refused to get dressed. I took DD out for the bus, and told DS I would get him ready for school after DD leaves.

He assumed that he wasn't going to school since the bus left. Um...I have a car! So I got him dressed and we ran to 7-11 for a school snack, and

For my alarm issues, I decided to go back on chemical happiness! LOL. I have obstructive sleep alnea, but use my CPAP machine faithfully. So I know I'm sleeping, I know how many apneas I'm averaging, etc. I've managed to sleep through everything, sort of. It doesn't matter what time I set my alarm, I wake up 3-5 minutes before it's going to ring. But I go back to sleep, and then keep hitting snooze. I use my phone with the most annoying ringtone too!

Doc said to give meds a few weeks, and if I still can't get up, he'll look into other issues.

I can't believe how far DS went this morning. I mean him fighting about going to school is a daily issue, but he was just so sure this morning. I told him it was time to get dressed, he very simply stated "Oh, no thanks." I showed him that he would get a marble if he did what he had to do. I increased it to 2 marbles, and still he would not budge! Sometimes I'll just go outside for a min and when I come back, he'll be dressed. But not today. He just sat wrapped in a blanket on the couch watching a show he hates waiting for DD to go to school.

Hopefully once my morning issues are fixed, I can update our morning routine.

Rough morning indeed! All I can really add is that you handled it well. It is so easy under those circumstances to just give in, but that always leads to more trouble down the road. You showed your son that school is not an option and no matter how mad he gets later on, you can rest assured that you did the right thing.
