Hi,
my son is 8 years old and at the moment and
he changes his mind alot about what he wants to be when he grows up.
can you get a job as a cake-baking pilot that rescues animals.
what do your kids want to be when they grow up,no limits.

I'm thinking the cake decorating pilot animal rescuer thing sounds great. What a great idea!
Weston is 10. He wants to be an engineer. He really would like to be a lego engineer, but he doesn't think there are very many of those in the world so he'll just design other things like robots and roads, maybe airplanes and airports and train lines as well.

wouldn't that be a bit difficult to walk with a big piece of green plastic welded to their feet.,like it....

heeeeeeeeeeeeee I thought of the same thing lol. No but really ever since they saw these little green creatures they have obsessed over them. Everything now is army army army. Video games, everything. So they have always wanted to grow up to be in the army.
Altho I'm so proud of the men and woman who serve, secretly I really hope they do something else. Its kinda scary to me.
well lets see,
Currently, Cait (13) is getting a pretty good idea. She has always been animal obsessed so we know that is where her career will take her. She has been everything from a zoo keeper to a dog trainer to animal cop. Her current one really I love and I can see her doing. She wants to be a certified theraputic horsemanship instructor. She already volunteers and is very involved so it is a high possibility. In the meantime she will volunteer there and is thinking of her first job either working as a stable girl or for the SPCA until she can start getting paid at REINS when she is probably in her 20's
Mike varies between inventor and author. He is going to invent all those really cool impossible things that you see in SciFI type movies. A hover craft speeder (star wars), that hover skate board (Back to the Future 2 or 3) and OF COURSE a time machine and a robot. It will be easy he insists. He already has the plans worked out just can't seem to get them to work. It is a dangerous business let me tell you.
for the author part, he already has a couple stories 1/2 written but has stopped them for now. He has some GREAT ideas and potential but refuses to proof read and even make any changes to what he has written so he is going to have to get better about that.

I told David and Nathan that the moms on my message board were having this discussion, and I gave some of the examples that I read, like the one about the little toy Army men.

I like the guitar playing pirate army guy! That's a hoot!!!
In our house, Noah wants to be a Geologist. (He's got this thing about gems...lord only knows where it came from.) Emma- although not on the spectrum- wants to be an artist & a writer. Claire doesn't even understand the concept of "being something" because she lives in her own little world about 90% of the time, and it's way too happy of a place to leave long enough to think about such unimportant stuff!
