Who'da thunk it?

LOL! First of all, VIctor's AS in home trainer called today for her monthly check in. When I told her how well he was doing, she was so thankful. Now, she was a bit unprofessional with this comment but I took it as a thank goodness not an insult. She told me "I was putting off calling you because my heart couldn't take anymore that Victor was going through. I'm glad he's doing so well." She even informed me that I sounded healthier.

Okay so rewind to the start of the day. There was SNOW in El Paso. Who'da thunk it? Well Vic and Bry haven't seen snow in well almost the 4 years we've been here. Schools were delayed 2.5 hours (which I was dreading for Vic's teacher but headed that off with a note) The kids left for school at 10:20 and there was a lil less than an inch on the ground. When they got home at 3:30 all the snow had melted. It was gone even from the trees and between the bushes. Victor walked up in front of the house and he was on the verge of tears. I felt so bad I asked him what happened at school. He said "School was fine Mom, the teacher gave me a smiley face." When I asked why he was so upset, he said "But I didn't get to play in the snow before it left me." Of course after a bit of talking it out, he remembered that snow melts, that turns to water and water evaporates so now he's mad at the sun for coming out and causing the snow to melt. LOL The things this kid holds a grudge with.

Well, I just thought I'd pass on what I quietly (in the privacy of my bedroom now that he's in bed) chuckled at today. (altho I'd never do it to his face or where he could hear)

I'm glad Victor is doing much better and that helps you to do much better too! yeah for the ups!

I had to LOL! about what he said about the snow. Poor kid! that must have been so disappointing! My kids really miss the snow (we moved to SC from Wisconsin 2 1/2 yrs ago).
