with the 'Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy, Happy, Happy, Joy!" song in it should be SHOT!
For the last month or so Weston has been singing that at the top of his lungs afterschool. He's happy to be home-- yeah! But it goes on for HOURS! and about the time I get him settled doing his homework or playing a game or w/ some toys... Martha or Owen will sing the song or say the words and off he'll go again singing and dancing to that song all over the house at the top of his lungs!
I know he's had so much stress and it's very stimulating/calming for him... but my nerves are fried now and I'm not happy or joyful about that song! I don't even know what the commercial is for.

ROFLMBO.
Sorry Betsy, but I can so picture that. I bet you sleep with that in your head.
I felt the same way for a while over that "Badadadada, I'm loving it". Spongebob's laugh too. ugh.
Maybe a nice MP3 player for mommy to drawn out the noise? Actually Mike's MP3 is great for this problem. He can listen to songs over and over again that make him feel good and the rest of us don't have to!

We are a "zero commercial TV" family.
Have you guys seen that commercial with Robert Gouley (sp?) in it? lol. There's no song or anything but Chris just loves it and talks about Robert Gouley all the time lololol.
I always have to crack up when he talks about it lol.
Isn't that the Emerald Nuts commercial? That one is so funny! When I see that Sara Lee commercial, all I can think of is Ren & Stimpy, lol.

I gotta date myself here but the Happy Happy Joy Joy originated with Ren and Stimpy ( OLD Nick cartoon) and I didn't like the song then as a teen.
Vic's commerical is "Eat Fresh". Even at age 10.5, we don't go to Subway, we're going out to "Eat Fresh". It was cute 6 years ago, now it's a bit unnerving.

Then last night he started with the Ford hybrid commercial with Kermit in it "It's not easy being green; oh I guess it is easy".
actually, I'm so old that I was married and had kids when Ren and Stimpy came out. We didn't have cable tv then either (not that they would have been allowed to watch it anyway). I had no idea that the obnoxious song came from that cartoon.
