Sounds very similar to our "Sea Monkey" adventures. While they did hatch and live for a while.....well I won't tell you how it ended each darn time. I am just not meant for prehistoric pets. Give me something furry.
Good luck with your triops! We had some last year and DS quite enjoyed it. One of them grew to be about an inch long. I think it lived about 6 weeks. I'll try to attach a picture - this is new for me.
laugh, laugh, laugh. Congratulations on your new family members! My neice hatched sea monkeys last year. When she went on vacation I was asked to "sit" with them. One day you feed them the next you add air bubbles. The creatures survived the week. (thank heavens) they are still alive several months later.
My fingers are crossed for you! I hope things go as smoothly as possible!!
