it just dawned on me that this board is from a parents standpoint. i was really hoping to come across some people who were in a relationship or married to someone who has Asperger tendencies.
any ideas?

I don't know of any particular message boards that are for SO's of people with AS, but you can give us a try.
Hello-
I can't help it so I have to admit. My dh is an Aspie. He started school in spec ed and is now a doctor! Why are you asking about spouses?
Jess
You may want to try aspergerinfo.com or asdrendrewolf.com and click on forums.
The first has many adults with AS as well as parents and a few spouses/SO of Aspies. The asdrendrewolf forum has been quite quiet lately but there is also spouses and adults there as well.
Also, I know there are more but I can't think of them at this time. This forum here is mainly occupied by parents since it is in the parenting section of ivillage, but there are many here who are in this situation because they find after thier children are diagnosed, that it explains alot about themselves or thier spouses.

Myrage,
I wrote this website down a little while ago because I suspect my dh is an Aspie or something?!! I've never actually had the time to delve too much into the site but it says it's for spouses and family members of adults with or suspected to be on the spectrum.
Hope its helpful.

i haven't even looked at the website yet, but thank you for the help. and i wish u the most of luck with your dh, i way too much understand the strangeness of the dx.

I wish he'd get dx'ed but at this stage he is doing well at work it's our homelife that suffers. He really doesn't get how bad he hurts me and all the social cues he misses.
I am definately getting the Tony Atwood book TODAY

Speaking as one of those who has an "undiagnosed Aspie" for a husband, WELCOME! My DH openly admits to being on the spectrum, which makes things much easier for both of us. However, he didn't figure it out until AFTER our oldest was Dx'd with AS. :-)
Hope to see you around.
Amy
I suspect I may be somewhere on the spectrum and have found this forum very interesting. www.wrongplanet.net
For the record, saying those with Asperger's are on the 'wrong planet' is a little discerning to me, but I do enjoy the site. I can't get it to load right now though, I hope it's still running and is just temporarily down right now.
Amy, ditto your post!
We discovered DH was an Aspie when we were going through the process of having our son
diagnosed. It was really hard for DH to swallow both at the same time and he was so
incredibly resistant I wondered if we would make it through that. Now he thanks me for
having our diagnosed and tells me what I great job I'm doing. I'm very blessed! Monica
