Hi,
My Ds Jake who is two and a half has just recieved medical assistance. I'm not really sure what Jake is entitled to besides his medical bills. I was told something about a TSS from wraparound.I'm not totally sure I understand what that means are how I apply. Does anyone have any advice for me?

Alot of that depends on what state you live in.

In the US (If you are canada or elsewhere I am not sure of how it works) but in the US he should be in early intervention. I would call your pediatrician and ask for the phone number of your local early intervention program. That is what they may have been referring to as wraparound services.

The only wrap around that I know here in CA is from county mental health and it provides those services not provided in school like respite and such. But for autism it comes from the department of developmental disabilities.

Early intervention can help you prepare to transition him into regular school. Regular schools take over at 3 with there preschool programs, etc.

Hope that helps
