I am so sorry for hoggin the board today but I seem to be having a rough day.
What would you do if your child's teacher asked your child if he took his medicine on any day that your child is rowdy?
My son's teacher does this and it really annoys me to think she thinks I am not giving him his medicine. I am have tempted to take him off it so she can remember what it is like when he DOESN'T take it.

What would I do? I'd tell her the truth. I think I would say pretty clearly that she may not be aware of what she is doing, but let her know that she is asking regularly about the medicine on days when he is rowdy and that yet you are not ever forgetting his medicine. I would try to be gentle, but direct, and let her know that this predictable line of questioning is bothering you.
There just seems to be a tendency out there among teachers to think that drug therapy "fixes" a child, and that is just not so! Wouldn't it be nice if that were actually the case?
Hope tomorrow is better for you. ((((HUGS)))))
yours,
Sara

I would point out gently that I think it is an inappropriate question to ask a child in class, in front of his peers.
If she has any questions regarding his confidential medical record, she should bring it up
