Well, ladies, they threatened months before DS turned 10 to call the police on him (they tried when he was 8) and the school has finally done it.

After three reports on us to CPS (none of which panned out), the school called the police on my 10 yo with Asperger's.

(((((HUGS))))) I'm sorry it's come to this. My heart goes out to you. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope the advocacy attorney can give you the help you need. Maybe this is what the school needs to get their butts in gear and get something appropriate in place for your son. I'm hoping an understanding judge will make them see their place in all this.

OMG that is horrible. I am glad you have a lawyer too.

Did you take pictures of all his scratches from the restraint? I would definitely be collecting evidence on everything you can. Did he have a behavior plan? Did they implement it appropriately? etc.

Hopefully the judge and police have a clue.

Big monster hugs. It is hard and have a child with AS who has serious behavioral concerns is very very difficult.

Thank you all for your support.

This has been an ongoing thing for so long I sometimes forget just how bad it sounds until I write it down.

Unfortunately we live in a very small county and the judges are bozos.

Paula,

It's a very small, poor school district that relies on several things:

Have you tried contacting your state's Department of Education?

My son's TSS lives in New York. Their services suck to say the least. She has a special needs child and can't get any help. She lives above warren Pa and is playing to move there just for the services. Pa has a lot of services for Autism. And I only use a few. I thought I'd mention this b/c you made a move for him once, maybe you would consider the thought of getting better services. That school sounds like a prison. I hope this was helpful. Just a thought.
