Mine didnt seem to show a preference for objects or people. The thing I remember most about her babyhood was she never slept. Hardly napped and never slept through the night until she was 2 years old. Plus she was very fussy. My mom called it colic. But I think she was just hard to console.
She is my 3rd daughter so I knew what I was doing caring for a baby and was confident. But still I had a hard time consoling her or caring for her. Could be be because she was touch sensitive.

You know, honestly, if I'd known anything about autism when my kids were babies, it would not have been my AS kids I worried about.
