Dropping in to say Hi!

Well, I hope all my old buddies are doing well! We are. My going back to work has been a roller coaster ride to say the least! But worth it (having $ is a good thing, but we still are broke!!!)
Liam and Linnane are at my school with me. Liam is doing great. He is testing like 7th highest for his grade level and really will probably loose his IEP soon. (I'm holding out for next year). His nemesis is still written expression. But if someone else will do the writing, he has the process down, so I think it is more of a sensory motor thing. Thus I'm pushing an Alpha Smart. Either way he is happy! Proving more and more every day that the psych was right and he was not on the spectrum after all.
Linnane is struggling majorly. Just like her brother she just is not ready to read. I hate to say it but I think I'll hold her back next year. She would in no way be ready for 2nd unless things change a lot. She has a wonderful teacher.
Steve and I are adjusting to me working. He is very helpful in the morning. So that is nice as he helps me get us all out the front door! But we all miss the good old days when I did everything for everyone behind the scenes.
Anyhoo, Happy Chrismas, or Hanukkah, (is it Ramadan yet??). What ever season you are celebrating, I wish it to be well for you!

Hey there, Sio! Great ta see ya back again, and I have missed you, too!
All is groovy cool here, kid is super, busy as all get out with work and home and even (very slowly) redecorating a little. Well, actually, the re- is misleading, I don't think I ever did more than unpack in a slightly organized fashion when we moved in over 6 years ago.
Hope you had a great Holiday Season and that you stay in touch a little more in future, when you can!!!

Red Wine and Chocolate, yes lets. You tell me the time and place and I am soooooo there!
AND I am just BEAMING with pride! You Go Girl. What a weakness! Now if we can only get such people with weaknesses to write the occasional article. Ah well. Live and dream.

Michelle,
You are so on top of things! The only thing under our three is fallen needles! At least we have the tree up.
It sounds like the kiddos are doing great! I KWYM about less is more with the running around stuff. Also, I think it is important that Nathan is happy about school, regardless about his rate of progress. Is it Paula who always says we need to compare our kids to themselves rather then to others?
Miss you!
Sio
We had Lin tested, too, JIC, but no luck! Her eyes are just fine, darn it all. She just is a struggling reader unfortunately. Hopefully the second ½ of the year will see some growth for her.
I am happy to hear Emily made good progress, though. I hope, what ever it is, we can find some thing that works for Linnane.
Lets meet later in the week for chocolate and red wine!

Go for it! DH will be happy to know they do not shed at all, but hair cuts can be pricey.
Miss you, too!

I love the ezine!
Actually, the other day my principal said my only real "weakness" was I was still more parent centered then teacher focused. I thought, oh, Renee and Candes would be so proud of me!
Tee hee!
Sio
Hoping to never lose that side of me!
um...no

Sio!
Tis the ghost of Christmas past! I'm so glad you dropped in to say hi! I was hoping you didn't forget about us, but it sounds like you are completely busy, but everyone is otherwise okay. Did you see the e-zine Candes and Renee founded? asdrendrewolf.org
Stay in touch if you're not too swamped!
