My son who just turned 5 years old yesterday is PDD-NOS. Lately, his aggression and anxiety has reached an all time high. He is at the point that his teachers have spoke with his behavior therapist and they are wanting me to consider medication. I don't want to go that route. I want to know if anyone has put their child on an alternative therapy that does not involve medication? He has a 5 year check up with his peds on Monday 2/28. I am ready with questions/advice for this appointment.

Thanks for anyone that can offer insight. I don't want my son on meds!

I just remembered the name of the diet. It's the SCD - specific carbohydrate diet. Google it and you'll pick it up. I know of one person on the board who had success with it.
